Remember hauling a backpack full of books up the hill from the train station every day after school ? How we would have loved a device that downloaded and stored all of the information we needed for our education.
A Melbourne school is doing just that. Melbourne's Brighton Grammar is testing the IPAD as part of an e-learning research program.
John Phillips, the school's community education director as said, "With one device we've replaced textbooks, we've replaced the student diary, we've replaced the need for a graphics calculator."
With the introduction of interactive whiteboards several years ago, and the quantity and quality of IT facilities available in schools nationwide, it's no surprise that this is being tested for students future schooling.
